There’s a brand new elephant at Disney’s Animal Kingdom! A baby elephant named Corra was just born at Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park for the first time since 2016. The big bundle of joy (all 218 pounds) arrived to mother Nadirah after nearly a 22-month pregnancy.

Dr. Mark Penning, Vice President of Disney’s Animals, Science and Environment shared the great news and some fun pictures on Instagram.

Baby Corra will continue to live backstage with mother Nadirah, and will soon meet the rest of her family and Disney’s elephant herd at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Disney has promised they’ll share more updates about Corra and her family soon.
