Video: Dragon catches on fire in Festival of Fantasy parade

The Maleficent dragon had a fiery incident during a recent Festival of Fantasy parade at the Magic Kingdom. The dragon normally blows fire from its mouth throughout the parade route, but this time the entire head caught on fire as cast members desperately tried to put it out.

Thankfully, it doesn’t look like any guests or cast members were injured.

The poor dragon. With cast members trying to move the head to both keep it out of the way of guests while also trying to put out the fire, the dragon looked like it was writhing in pain.

It’s depressing watching one of Disney World’s best float creations literally melting and falling apart. Incidents similar to these usually have long-term consequences, but hopefully Disney will bring back this fire-breather soon.
