Mizner’s Lounge at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will reportedly be rethemed and become a Beauty and the Beast bar and lounge in the near future. This rumor follows the news that the lounge will also expand and take over a nearby store.
This rumor, which has not been officially confirmed, has been reported by several sources. One source suggests that there will be three main rooms that will carry various theming from the live-action Beauty and the Beast film.
The rumors don’t indicate just how intricate or how detailed the new theming might be. Some have suggested it could be quite extensive, which seems like a stark contrast compared to what’s currently at the resort.
While we can’t confirm that this rumor is factual or if Disney has actually decided to go in this direction, the idea is a bit curious. Walt Disney World has brought characters to traditional upscale locations such as Artist Point at Wilderness Lodge Resort, giving this idea some merit. However, the location of a potential Beauty and the Beast lounge doesn’t seem to fit into the overall scope of the Grand Floridian Resort.
Stay tuned. While an expansion of the current lounge appears to be guaranteed, an overhaul with Beauty and the Beast theming has not been confirmed at this time.
