Did Disney Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Geoff Morrell accidentally leak the opening date for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind? The Disney executive shared on Twitter that he test rode the new Epcot coaster, but within the Tweet he mentioned an opening date.
Morrell’s now-deleted Tweet said guests will enjoy Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind beginning Memorial Day Weekend. That would place the opening around May 27-30, with Memorial Day itself on May 30, 2022.
Morrell later posted again with the Memorial Day Weekend comment replaced by “Coming soon!”

Did Morrell accidentally let the cat out of the bag? His Memorial Day Weekend comment matches earlier rumors and reports. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind has moved along quickly over the past year, and looks ready to open in the very near future.
Disney has not announced an official opening date at this time, but we expect that news is coming soon.
