Walt Disney World is preparing to reopen one of its miniature golf destinations while simultaneously closing another for the season. Disney’s Winter Summerland Miniature Golf will welcome back guests beginning on November 6, 2020. One day earlier on November 5, Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf will close with a scheduled reopening date of January 31, 2021.
Disney describes the courses at Winter Summerland Miniature Golf as follows:
Winter Summerland Miniature Golf offers two uniquely themed 18-hole courses, each with their own distinct musical soundtrack. As the name suggests, the first course draws inspiration from the winter season, including snow castles and ice hockey rinks. The second course represents all things summer. Guests navigate surf boards, sand sculptures and even a melted snowman.
Walt Disney World will continue to operate just one of its miniature golf complexes due to reduced crowds and tightened budgets. Fantasia Gardens should receive some general maintenance and upkeep while it’s closed to guests. As always, reopening dates are subject to change without notice.
