Video: Preview the 50th anniversary decorations coming to Cinderella Castle

Updated:

Walt Disney Imagineering has released a new video previewing the 50th anniversary decorations coming to Cinderella Castle. Disney previously announced that Cinderella Castle will receive gold bunting, a 50th anniversary logo and more for Walt Disney World’s celebration.

The video from Imagineering discusses the specific paint colors that will be used for the decorations.

The blue and gold should look great on Cinderella Castle. The decorations offer a regal upgrade for the Magic Kingdom’s icon, which should be received more favorably than the polarizing pink/salmon paint that was added last year.

The moat around Cinderella Castle has already been drained ahead of crews adding the decorations. It sounds like guests may start seeing the decorations go up in the very near future.

The enhancements to Cinderella Castle come as Disney plans to enhance all of its theme park icons during Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary.
