TRON Lightcycle Run is a flurry of activity at the Magic Kingdom. As crews continue to work on the pathways and areas around the new coaster, empty trains can be spotted running regularly around the track.
First, let’s take a look at the main walkway that will take guests inside TRON Lightcycle Run. Big thanks to @bioreconstruct (as always) for the great pictures.

While the train passing by beneath the canopy is a clear highlight of the picture above, it’s worth pointing out the recent landscaping work. The curved beams along the walkway are new light fixtures that will certainly add a different look to Tomorrowland. The rest of the landscaping, which has a bit of a ways to go, is helping the area look more complete.
Speaking of coaster trains, they’re a fairly regular sight at TRON Lightcycle Run.

In fact, the trains have been running regularly despite an announced opening date of Spring 2023. The frequency has given guests plenty of opportunities to take pictures – even long exposures.

TRON Lightcycle Run has actually been testing for several months. Human riders started experiencing the new coaster as early as August 2022. It appears the ride could open at any point, but Disney is likely holding the opening until Spring 2023 for marketing-related purposes.
Disney has not announced an official opening date at this time. But, when TRON Lightcycle Run does finally open, it will end a lengthy project that was first announced all the way back in 2017.
