The Purple Wall at the Magic Kingdom has a new look

Updated:

This story is going to sound pretty silly unless you’re familiar with the Instagram culture at the Magic Kingdom. The infamous Purple Wall, a wall in Tomorrowland that’s painted purple and is flattering to almost everyone who uses it as an Instagram background (check out #PurpleWall), has a new look.

As Tomorrowland as a whole receives a new paint scheme, the Purple Wall received some love too. The photo above, courtesy of Blog Mickey, shows that the ol’ Purple Wall has a new design.

The new Purple Wall still has a section that looks like the original, but it now has some artistic flair on the end that helps transition the area. Disney’s official announcement (yes, there was an announcement about a wall) called the change an enhancement for #PurpleWall photo takers.

Some may not understand the appeal of the wall, but it’s always fun to see something pop up organically by Disney fans.
