The Muppets return quietly to Liberty Square at the Magic Kingdom

Updated:

Some familiar faces have returned to Liberty Square at the Magic Kingdom! Several characters from The Muppets can be seen celebrating the holidays in the building overlooking the Hall of Presidents. Unlike previous appearances, the characters aren’t speaking and are instead miming skits and posing for pictures.

Check out the video of some Muppets holiday fun.

And some more photos showcasing the characters.

As great as it is to see Muppets characters back at the Magic Kingdom, it’s a little puzzling that there isn’t any dialogue. It’s possible Disney wanted a simple addition and didn’t want to record new show dialogue for the characters.

Speaking or not, we openly welcome back the Muppets and we hope to see them stick around the Magic Kingdom in the future.
