Vahle’s caption:
“After getting an update on the latest progress and an early test ride on Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, I have three words: it is AWESOME!!! Thank you to the teams at Walt Disney Imagineering and Walt Disney World who are bringing this amazing attraction to life. I’m looking forward to seeing the finishing touches over the next several months and can’t wait for you to get a look when it opens at EPCOT next summer as part of the park’s transformation!”
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is billed as one of the longest indoor coasters in the world. The ride’s cars will use a controlled spin to point riders at specific show elements as it travels on the track. The coaster is rumored to have two launches, but Disney hasn’t confirmed that speculation at this time.
Now that ride testing has officially started, hopefully more information about the coaster will emerge. It remains to be seen how fast Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will go, what the overall ride length will be, and what kind of capacity guests should expect.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will open to guests in Summer 2022.
