Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Closing Due to Hurricane Ian

Updated:

Walt Disney World is temporarily closing the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser ahead of the arrival of Hurricane Ian. Disney has cancelled the voyages set to begin September 27 and 29, 2022 in response to the severe weather.

Disney hopes to resume operation at the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser on October 1, 2022, but notes that may change depending on the intensity of the storm.

This announcement comes one day after Disney said they’d be closing select resorts, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, and more in preparation for Hurricane Ian. More closures may be announced in the near future as Ian heads for Florida.
