A new permit has been filed for construction work at Splitsville Luxury Lanes at Disney Springs. The permit calls for the removal of four of the venue’s 30 bowling lanes in favor of a new bar and prep kitchen.
Permit details:
Prior to any construction work, Splitsville offered 30 bowling lanes, five bars, a patio area, billiards area, and live music across the building’s two levels. The upcoming changes will drop the total number of lanes to 26 while rising the bar count up to six.
The permit doesn’t detail which lanes will be removed, but an educated guess would pick the four lanes on the lowest level closest to Orange parking garage. Though that’s purely speculation, it’d make a lot of sense.
While it may sound odd for a bowling alley to remove some of its lanes, Splitsville is about more than just bowling. It’s home to a surprisingly good menu and prices that buck the “luxury” label. The atmosphere is nicer than the usual bowling alley experience you might be familiar with, and it’s a good choice for nighttime entertainment.
