Guests hoping to ride Splash Mountain at the Magic Kingdom should be aware that the ride will be closed for just under two months in early 2020. The ride’s upcoming refurbishment period will keep the attraction closed January 6, 2020 through February 27, 2020.
As seen during previous closures, Disney will use this time to perform general maintenance and touch-up the attraction. No significant changes are expected.
The upcoming closure in 2020 matches similar Splash Mountain refurbishment periods seen over the last several years. Disney has commonly used the cooler weather in January and February to work on this beloved water attraction.
Guests planning future Walt Disney World visits can probably pencil in a similar Splash Mountain refurbishment period for 2021.
