Signs for the closed Stitch’s Great Escape attraction have been removed from Tomorrowland

Stitch’s Great Escape no longer has a visible presence at the Magic Kingdom. The attraction was listed as “permanently” closed back in July 2020 and now all of the signage has been removed.

Guests walking through Tomorrowland will notice the attraction’s marquee is no longer in place and the corresponding signage has either been taken out or covered up.

While this is the final nail in the coffin for Stitch’s Great Escape, it was clear the attraction’s days were numbered when a leaked photo showed a disassembled Stitch animatronic back in 2018.

It’s not clear what Disney intends to do with the space that Stitch’s Great Escape used to occupy. Rumors suggested a Wreck-It Ralph attraction could be added, but nothing has been finalized. Budget cuts from the ongoing pandemic may have shelved any short-term possibilities.
