Disney’s Contemporary Resort will undergo a significant refurbishment to its guest rooms beginning April 2021. The rooms will be “reimagined” according to a new statement on Walt Disney World’s website.

Starting in April 2021, Disney’s Contemporary Resort will begin a refurbishment to reimagine Guest rooms. While some Main Tower rooms will be unavailable during the refurbishment, most resort areas and amenities will still be available for Guests to enjoy.
Details on what the updated rooms will look like weren’t revealed. Disney has tested designs featuring The Incredibles in the past, but it has not been confirmed that they made the final design. We should hear some news soon now that the refurbishment has officially been announced.
It sounds like guests will still be able to stay at Disney’s Contemporary Resort during the refurbishment. Blocks of rooms will likely go offline as work is completed in waves. Other areas of the resort may also be unavailable sporadically during the update.
