Walt Disney World has updated their Resort Benefits page to remove the mention of specific resort perks. The previous benefits of staying on property, such as earlier FastPass+ selections, Extra Magic Hours, MagicBands and the Disney Dining Plan, have now been completely removed.
Most of these perks were “temporarily suspended” after Walt Disney World reopened to guests last July. However, they remained on the resort benefits page until recently.
Below is how the page looked in February 2021:
Below is how the page looks as of March 6, 2021. Note the absence of FastPass+, Extra Magic Hours, MagicBands and Disney Dining Plans.
Extra Magic Hours have already been replaced by a 30-minute early entry into the parks. MagicBands now carry an additional cost. The future of FastPass+ and the Disney Dining Plan are unknown. The Disney Magical Express will expire at the end of this year. The benefits of staying on Disney property have shrunk dramatically.
Disney is likely clarifying the resort benefits page to avoid giving a false impression to guests booking future trips. The page used to give guests hope that some of those resort perks may return. Now, all bets appear to be off as Disney evaluates how they want to move forward.
