Rafiki’s Planet Watch to reopen in July 2019 at Animal Kingdom

Updated:

Rafiki’s Planet Watch will once again welcome guests this July at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. WDWMagic reports that the area will reopen on July 11, 2019 with a brand new Animation Experience at the Conservation Station.

The report states that the Animation Experience will teach guests how live animals have inspired some Disney’s most iconic animated characters. Guests will have an opportunity to put their animation skills to the test with an instructor-led class. The sessions will be included in Disney’s FastPass+ system.

In addition to the new Animation Experience, the beloved Affection Section will return for guests to enjoy.

It’s great to see Rafiki’s Planet Watch returning at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The overlooked section is one of those hidden gems that provides a nice break from the craziness and crowds that fill the rest of the park.
