A brand new fireworks spectacular is supposed to debut at EPCOT in 2023. While Disney hasn’t released many details on the new show, preparations are underway in the middle of World Showcase Lagoon.
Construction crews are driving pilings in a central location in World Showcase Lagoon. The pilings are centered when looking across the lagoon toward the American Adventure Pavilion, which corrects a mistake that the old show, Harmonious, made with its center barge being anchored off-center.
Thanks to @bioreconstruct for the look at the pilings.

The pilings will be used for the hardware that will produce the new fireworks show, but Disney hasn’t revealed much at this time about what will be used. The new show will have far less hardware compared to Harmonious and its five massive barges. Early reports said the majority of the hardware for the new show will be removed from the lagoon each day.
EPCOT’s new fireworks show has a very similar description to Harmonious. From earlier this year, Disney said:
A new nighttime spectacular will debut at EPCOT later this year, inviting everyone to gather around World Showcase Lagoon for a show that will unite us through commonalities of the heart in a dazzling display of fireworks, lasers, music and light. Featuring an original composition along with select songs from the Disney songbook, this new spectacular will remind us that we’re more alike than different, connecting our hearts together as one.
One lone piece of concept art has been released for the show, which hasn’t been named at this time.
That’s all Disney has said about the new show. EPCOT Forever has been running as the nighttime entertainment at EPCOT after Harmonious wrapped up back in March 2023. With the show expected to debut before 2023 ends, Disney should release more information soon.
