Disney has finally announced when they will begin relaxing park hopping rules for annual passholders at Walt Disney World. Starting April 18, 2023, annual passholders will be able to park hop at Walt Disney World after 2pm without needing a park reservation.
Saturdays and Sundays at Magic Kingdom will still require a theme park reservation.
More info from Disney:
Beginning April 18, Walt Disney World Annual Passholders will be able to visit the theme parks after 2 p.m. without needing a park reservation, except on Saturdays and Sundays at Magic Kingdom Park. Pass blockout dates will continue to apply like they do today. While the theme park reservation system remains important to manage attendance in our parks, especially on busier days, we realize our Passholders enjoy more spontaneous visits – and this change will make that possible.
This is a long overdue change that will go a long way in easing one of the most annoying pain points for annual passholders. Currently, annual passholders will make a reservation at any open park, such as Disney’s Animal Kingdom, walk through the gates, and then immediately leave to head to the park of their choice.
Starting April 18, annual passholders who want to go to EPCOT, for example, can simply show up after 2pm without needing to play the park reservation game.
