Update: Free samples have returned at Disney Springs following guest feedback. However, we’re not sure how long this change will stay in place.
Here’s some sad news that is sure to disappoint chocolate lovers. Ghirardelli has reportedly stopped giving out free samples to visitors at all of its locations, including the store located at Disney Springs.
The change to the free sample policy was noticed at Disney Springs in the last couple of weeks.
Previously, a greeter was positioned just outside the store giving out small packaged samples to guests who walked by. These fun size chocolates often included seasonal flavors such as peppermint and pumpkin spice. Stopping by for a free sample was a tradition for many Disney Springs visitors.
What do you think of the change? It’s fair to assume that the change will save Ghirardelli a significant amount of money as a large majority of samples were given to guests who had no intention of making a purchase. Still, we’re a bit sad the free chocolate fun has come to an end.
