The official sign for Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway has been installed on the Chinese Theatre at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! The large sign sits directly in the center of the Chinese Theatre’s facade, welcoming guests into the first attraction centered around Mickey and Minnie.
Walt Disney Imagineering shared a couple photos of the overnight installation.
The neon-style sign fits relatively well into its surroundings, but some may be dismayed by the size of the sign blocking so much of the theatre. All things considered, we think Disney did a great job of theming the sign around the existing structure and making Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway look like a coming attraction.
We’re excited to see how things look at night once the attraction opens, and we’re curious to see how the projections used on the theatre each night will be altered to accommodate the new design.
