Disney is adding two attractions to the Genie+ lineup at Disneyland Resort. Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disneyland and The Little Mermaid – Ariel’s Undersea Adventure at Disney California Adventure will both become eligible Genie+ attractions in the near future.
Scott Gustin reports that Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway will be added to the Genie+ lineup “soon” and The Little Mermaid will be added “next month” (November).
Runaway Railway has been an Individual Lightning Lane attraction requiring a separate cost, but it will soon drop down to an attraction covered under Genie+’s cost. Meanwhile, The Little Mermaid consistently has short standby lines and the inclusion on Genie+ may be to bolster the list of eligible Genie+ attractions at Disney California Adventure rather than serving a crowding issue.
Genie+ already proved to be a valuable and positive experience at Disneyland Resort due to the smaller crowds and larger roster of attractions compared to Walt Disney World. Adding new rides to the already-strong list of Genie+ attractions makes the premium service even more valuable at Disneyland Resort.
