It’s been a few months since we checked in on the construction of the Journey of Water attraction at Epcot. Since we last checked back in December 2021, more concrete forms have been added and the walk-through attraction is starting to take shape.
Concrete forms, pipes and electrical components can be spotted in the latest pictures from @bioreconstruct.

It looks like construction is coming along … we think? Disney’s concept art for Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana is so vague that it’s hard to gauge its progress. Check out the art below and see if you can draw any clear comparisons.
Here’s Disney’s description of this walk-through attraction from its original announcement at D23 2019.
This first-ever experience based on the Walt Disney Animation Studios hit film, “Moana,” will let guests interact with magical, living water in a beautiful and inspiring setting.
Journey of Water does not have an opening date at this time. We imagine Disney is focused on opening Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and the new Connections Cafe & Eatery over the next several months. Then, hopefully work will speed up on Journey of Water and more construction walls can come down at Epcot.
