Pour one out for the old Monorail station at Disney’s Polynesian Resort. The former Monorail station has been completely demolished as Disney works to retheme the main entrance of the resort.
Pictures from the area show the Monorail beam exposed now that the station is gone.

Guests hoping to catch a ride on the Monorail need to board at a different station. Monorail trains pass by Disney’s Polynesian Resort without stopping at this time.

Disney has released concept art showing how the main entrance will look when everything is completed.
Meanwhile, Disney is also refurbishing the resort’s rooms and adding theming from Moana.
Disney’s Polynesian Resort is expected to reopen to non-DVC guests in Summer 2021.
