The Orange County Register has provided a new update on how MagicBand+ will work at Disneyland and Walt Disney World. MagicBand+ rolled out in Walt Disney World on July 27, 2022 and is expected to launch in Disneyland later in 2022.
We now know guests with a MagicBand+ for Walt Disney World will be able to use the same band at Disneyland. The bands will work at both destinations, but Disney notes the features will vary.

The MagicBands coming to Disneyland won’t have the same exact functionality as the Disney World MagicBands. Some features will vary at Disneyland. Magic Bands from the Walt Disney World resort will work at the Disneyland resort.
Disney has not announced an official launch date of MagicBand+ at Disneyland outside of saying it’ll be in 2022. We expect an update on the bands coming to Disneyland during the D23 Expo 2022 in September.
