Disneyland’s runDisney events are going on hiatus following the 2026 Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend. Disney cites various construction projects happening around Disneyland Resort as the reason behind the pause.

Due to upcoming construction impacts, runDisney races at the Disneyland® Resort will be placed on hiatus in 2026 after the conclusion of the 2026 Disneyland® Half Marathon Weekend presented by HONDA. We will continue to offer races at Walt Disney World® Resort, as well as virtual offerings.

Disney didn’t say when runDisney events might to return at Disneyland Resort. There’s several construction projects planned around both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure over the next several years. The Avengers Campus expansion is already underway, and Disney has announced an Avatar land for Disneyland as well as an attraction based on Coco.
It could be several years before Disneyland runDisney events resume if they’re going to wait for these major projects to wrap up.
