Land clearing continues for the Tron coaster at the Magic Kingdom

Updated:

Work on the Tron coaster that’s coming to the Magic Kingdom at Disney World officially started in February. Roughly a month into the project, more land clearing has been spotted in the location that will soon serve as the home for the new attraction near Space Mountain.

The photo above, which is courtesy of the awesome @bioreconstruct on Twitter, shows that most of the trees have been removed from the location, revealing a look from World Drive into the Magic Kingdom.

Compared to the photos from February, seen here, significant progress has been made in preparing the area for construction. More clearing will be needed to connect the attraction to Tomorrowland, but it’s unclear how Disney will try to maintain the views from within the park during construction. Construction walls and some movable trees may do the trick, but the view from the People Mover will be a great spot to check in on the progress.
