It’ll cost $199.99 for a custom lightsaber in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

Start saving your money if you’re planning on building your own custom lightsaber in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. The handbuilt models, which will be created by the guest during an interactive experience, will cost $199.99 according to Disneyland’s website.

Below is Disney’s description of Savi’s Workshop where guests will create their 36″ custom lightsabers.

“Travel to Black Spire Outpost, where a group known as the “Gatherers” ushers you into a covert workshop packed with unusual parts, whimsical pieces and miscellaneous memorabilia collected from the far reaches of the galaxy.

Under their guidance, you can construct your very own lightsaber and bring it to life through the power of kyber crystals.”

Guests will be able to choose from one of four hilt themes. Then they’ll choose one of four crystals (this will determine the color of your lightsaber – red, blue, green or violet). From there, there’s several choices to be made in order to customize the lightsaber. Guests will have:

1 hilt
4 sleeves (pick 2)
2 emitters (pick 1)
2 pommel caps (pick 1)
2 sets of activation plates and switches (pick 1 set)

Unused parts are not included, so make sure you make your selections wisely.

At this time, it remains to be seen whether guests will need a reservation to create and buy these handbuilt lightsabers. Realistically, this process will take some time and capacity is going to be limited. We’ll have more information ahead of the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland later this month.
