Disney has revealed a new logo for Disney’s Hollywood Studios in honor of its 30th anniversary. The new logo will be placed on the arch near the Animation Courtyard and will likely be placed on merchandise and in other areas around the park.
The logo has a fairly simple font and has Mickey, Woody and BB-8 popping out of the letter Os. Based on the artist rendering of the new logo on the arch, the area may also receive some updated paint in addition to the new sign.
Disney states that the new logo celebrates several aspects of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, from Andy’s backyard to a galaxy far, far away.
We feel the logo might be a little plain even though it has what could be interchangeable characters. We wouldn’t be surprised to see other versions of the logo with other characters, such as the Muppets, being used in other locations.
It’s also a little sad to see arguably the most iconic elements of the park, like the Tower of Terror, passed by in favor of intellectual property in a logo that’s supposed to celebrate the park’s history and future.
What do you think of the new logo?
