Goat exhibit added to the end of Kilimanjaro Safaris at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Date:

We finally have an answer for what’s going on at the end of Kilimanjaro Safaris at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Disney has been quietly building what they describe as a “Warden Post” area in the final portion of the safari attraction. We now know this is the new home for Nigerian Dwarf Goats!

The Nigerian Dwarf Goats have been introduced to their new home under the watchful eyes of cast members. The goats are free to climb up on many of the area’s props, including a picnic table, an old jeep and even on the Warden’s outpost itself.

WDWMagic perfectly captured the goats’ debut. Visit their gallery for more photos.

Goat exhibit on Kilimanjaro Safaris

Disney has used this space in a variety of ways over the years, but it has primarily sat empty in recent years. Seeing an empty enclosure to end Kilimanjaro Safaris always felt a bit anticlimactic. Now, guests will see goats up to their usual antics at the end of the safari.

Goats probably weren’t everyone’s first choice for the finale of an attraction as awesome as Kilimanjaro Safaris. But, the theming here is great and who are we to complain? Goats are awesome and it’s great to see animals occupying this area.
