The transformation of Epcot’s main entrance is nearly complete. New flagpoles have been added to the sides of the main entrance area with flags representing the many pavilions found inside Epcot.
Disney Imagineer Zach Riddley shared the first look of the new flags. Hit the arrow keys on the post below to scroll through the photos.

The 12 flagpoles have colored icons that are a nod to Epcot’s original pavilion logos with a modern twist. The flags, along with the updated permanent lighting package for Spaceship Earth, round out the front entrance project.
In addition to the flags, a new background music loop also debuted in Epcot’s main entrance. The soundtrack appears to be a compilation of existing tracks rather than an original piece, but it thankfully doesn’t include any familiar songs from Disney films.
We think the flags add a nice touch to the views around Spaceship Earth. Disney could have tried using solid colors as the base of the flags with the icons in white, but we imagine there could be issues with fading under the Florida sun.
