The entrance for TRON Lightcycle Run at the Magic Kingdom is taking shape just five years after it was originally announced. Lighting has been added to the entrance ramp and more finishing touches are being added around the walkway.
We can see, thanks to @bioreconstruct, that lots of concrete has been poured and more concrete forms are in place.

Crews have also been finishing up the tunnel that the Walt Disney World Railroad will travel through beneath TRON’s canopy. Speaking of the railroad, reports have suggested cast members will be training for the reopening of the train.
TRON Lightcycle Run looks like it’s finally nearing the last stages of construction. As mentioned above, Disney originally announced the new coaster at the Magic Kingdom all the way back on July 15, 2017. Five years ago! Entire theme parks have been built in less time, though we have to discount some of that time due to the shutdown in 2020.
An opening date for TRON Lightcycle Run should be announced soon, likely during the D23 Expo 2022 this September.
