Disneyland’s Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway Will Use a Virtual Queue

Updated:

Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway will open at Disneyland Resort on January 27, 2023. Ahead of its official debut on the West Coast, Disney has announced that the attraction will use a virtual queue system instead of a standby line.

Guests will also be able to pay for individual Lightning Lane access. The virtual queue and individual Lightning Lane are the only two ways guests can enjoy Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway.

The complimentary virtual queue for Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway will have two enrollment times each day – 7am PT and 1pm PT. Guests can join the virtual queue from the Disneyland app. After successfully entering the virtual queue, guests will be given a boarding group number. Disney will then call those numbers throughout the day, and guests should return to the attraction when their number is called.

Additional details:

Based on the experience of using virtual queues for other Disney attractions (Rise of the Resistance, Cosmic Rewind), guests should expect the first enrollment time of 7am to be the most competitive. The second time slot at 1pm should be a bit easier to get into, but we imagine the queues will fill up quickly when the ride first opens.
