Disney World starts calling back cast members for select restaurants and resorts

Walt Disney World has started recalling its cast members for select restaurants and resorts ahead of their phased reopening that’s set to begin in the next several weeks. The union that represents hotel and restaurant employees around Orlando, Local 737, announced a list of Disney locations that have started recalling cast members.

The locations below are located within DVC resorts and Fort Wilderness Campground, which will be the first locations to reopen on June 22. Note that the list below covers where cast members have been called back, but it does not guarantee that every location on the list will immediately reopen to guests. Additional cast members may have also been called back that are not represented by this specific union.

This is great news both for the cast members who have been furloughed and for guests who are eager to return to Walt Disney World. While this announcement doesn’t guarantee every restaurant on the list will immediately reopen, it does indicate that the wheels are in motion at Walt Disney World to get things up and running.

No other announcements regarding non-DVC resorts have been made at this time.
