Original Story:

Disney Cruise Line has announced significant itinerary changes for the Disney Wish.

The Disney Wish will not return to Port Canaveral as scheduled on Friday, September 30, 2022 as Hurricane Ian hits Florida. The current 4-night Bahamian itinerary on the Disney Wish will now return either Saturday, October 1 or Sunday, October 2, depending on weather conditions.

Guests sailing on the Wish cheered when the captain announced the change.

Guests currently on the Disney Wish have been given complimentary internet packages to assist with travel changes.

As a result of the delay, the 3-night Bahamian itinerary on the Disney Wish scheduled to leave from Port Canaveral on September 30, 2022 has been cancelled. Guests impacted by the cancellation will receive a full refund and a 20% discount for a future cruise.

Hurricane Ian has also forced Walt Disney World to close its theme parks September 28 and 29.
