Disney has announced that the Disney Dining Plan will return to Walt Disney World in 2024! Guests staying at a Disney resort will be able to purchase the Disney Dining Plan for stays beginning January 9, 2024.
From the Disney Parks Blog:
Disney dining plans will be coming back as an option for those staying at Disney Resort hotels who purchase a vacation package with us starting with stays beginning Jan. 9, 2024, which will also open for bookings on May 31. We know our guests – and families in particular – have missed dining plans, which offer guests the convenience and peace of mind of pre-paying for their meals and snacks. Guests will be able to choose from two popular options: Packages that include either the Disney Quick Service Dining Plan or the Disney Dining Plan. Both plans will be a great value for families with young children with access to many spectacular food and beverage offerings across Walt Disney World.
While the Disney Dining Plan and the Disney Quick Service Dining Plan are returning, the Deluxe version of the Dining Plan won’t be offered at this time.
The Disney Quick Service Dining Plan includes two quick-service meals and one snack or nonalcoholic drink each night of the package stay. The plan also includes a resort-refillable drink mug.
The Disney Dining Plan is the better option for guests who want to dine at table-service restaurants during their trip. The plan includes one table-service meal per night, one quick-service meal per night and one snack or nonalcoholic drink per night of their package stay. The plan also includes a resort-refillable drink mug.
The Disney Dining Plan allows guests to prepay for their meals in advance and, when planned strategically, save money on food at Walt Disney World. It’s a nice way to make a Walt Disney World vacation feel more all-inclusive despite it requiring some planning.
In the past, Disney has ran free dining plan promotions for select vacation packages. The promotion is one of Disney’s most popular, and now has the opportunity to return as the dining plans returns.
