It’s once again time for a construction update at Epcot. The theme park currently has several active construction sites including the slow demolishment of Innoventions West.
The former Future World building has been gradually removed since late 2019. Now, crews are tearing down the final portion that will eventually become the location of the Journey of Water attraction.

Shifting around the former Innoventions West, we can see what’s left of one of the main entrances.

And here’s what the far side of the building looks like when looking back at Spaceship Earth.

Disney has previously stated that the Journey of Water and a new Festival Center will sit roughly where Innoventions West stood. However, it’s unclear if the Festival Center will actually come to fruition. Disney’s most recent press releases have removed any mention of the three-story Festival Center and reference a “festival area” instead.
Guests visiting Epcot should expect to see lots of construction walls for the foreseeable future.
