The dates have been announced for the 2024 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. This year’s festival will run August 29 through November 23, 2024. By comparison, the 2024 Food and Wine Festival will be about a month shorter than the 2023 festival.
Now that we know the dates for this year’s Food and Wine Festival, we can see that EPCOT will have a large gap between festivals. The 2024 Flower and Garden Festival will wrap up on May 27, which leaves about three festival-free months at EPCOT before Food and Wine begins in August.
Given the gap, it seemed possible Disney would try out a new festival this year during the summer months. But, with the end of Flower and Garden quickly approaching, Disney hasn’t announced anything new. It’s possible they’re content to allow for the opening of CommuniCore Hall & Plaza on June 10 to serve as EPCOT’s big summer offering.
It’s been several years since EPCOT will go this long of a stretch without festivals. The non-festival periods, referred to affectionately by some Disney fans as Diet EPCOT, returns World Showcase to its more peaceful and calm state. It can be a welcome break from the constant festivals.
