Construction update on the Space restaurant coming to Epcot

Updated:

We have an updated look at the space-themed restaurant coming to Epcot. The restaurant, which is going in the space between Test Track and Mission: SPACE, has already had land cleared and initial construction is progressing. We’ve also treated to a sneak peak of the construction plans for the new building.

These photos, which come from Blog Mickey, show the initial work on the site and a peak at the actual plans.

They report that it appears work is being performed on plumbing for the new building, as well as some demolition to open up the old unused lounge that was apart of the Mission: SPACE building.

That’s where some plans can be seen on the wall:

That’s a pretty interesting look into what’s taking place behind the scenes. The plans, which are partially obstructed, appear to show the beginning of the curve for the main dining room in the restaurant.

These photos appear to be taken during a ride on Test Track, so you too can try to get a peak of what’s coming next as you speed by.
