Guests staying at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel should be aware of a few projects that may impact their visit. The direct entrance into Disney California Adventure is temporarily closing, Storytellers Cafe is closing for a few weeks, and Napa Rose will be closed until Fall 2025.
We’ll start with the biggest disruption – the closure of the private entrance into Disney California Adventure (DCA). Disney is closing the entrance into Disney California Adventure to install the new gates we’ve seen over at Disneyland. Guests can use the DCA entrance for Pixar Pier guests (it dumps you out near Goofy’s Sky School) or use the main entrance. The private entrance is expected to reopen at some point this May.
Over at Storytellers Cafe, the closure is thankfully much more brief. The restaurant will be closed for a few weeks this March, but a reopening date hasn’t been announced. Disney is shifting the popular Mickeyโs Tales of Adventure Breakfast Buffet and Brunch into the Trillium Room, which is one of the hotel’s ballrooms. The Hearthstone Lounge will be expanding its offerings during the closure for guests seeking non-character dining.
Finally, Napa Rose is closing for an extended period this year. Expected to reopen in Fall 2025, the updated Napa Rose will feature a new look and a new menu. No word yet on what we should expect from the new Napa Rose, but it sounds like big changes are in store.
