Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is separated into two distinct areas – Jambo House and Kidani Village. Jambo House has traditional resort rooms while Kidani Village is home to villas for Disney Vacation Club members. The two areas feature some outstanding restaurants, which make them popular destinations both for resort guests and other Walt Disney World visitors.
Want to visit both sections of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge during your visit? Doing so is easy. Thankfully, Jambo House and Kidani Village are relatively close and are connected by a convenient walking path. Disney also offers a shuttle between the two, but we found the walking path was quicker and more efficient.
The walking path between Jambo House and Kidani Village is approximately 0.5 miles long. It takes about 10 minutes to travel between the two lobbies. This time might be shorter or longer depending on your pace.
Guests can find the walking path by exiting the lobby of Jambo House and heading to the right, away from the bus stations. At Kidani Village, it’s the opposite and guests head to the left to the walking path past the bus stations.
The walking path travels near the road and parking areas of the two resorts. However, it’s surrounded by plenty of landscaping and is shaded in many spots. We walked between Kidani and Jambo on a steamy summer day and found the experience was relatively pleasant. It felt shorter than we expected and the shaded portions prevented us from melting in the hot Florida sun.
