Can I bring food and drinks into Walt Disney World theme parks?

There are plenty of tricks and strategies that you can use to save money while visiting Walt Disney World. One of those is to bring your own food and drinks with you while visiting the various theme parks.

Walt Disney World does allow you to bring your own food into its theme parks. However, you are only allowed to bring items that do not require heating. You are also required to inform security at the park’s entrance of any food items you’re bringing in with you. Note that you can’t bring any food or snacks in glass containers.

Guests are also allowed to bring drinks into the theme parks. However, no alcohol or glass bottles are allowed.

Personally, we like to bring at least one or two bottles of water and some snacks with us when we visit the theme parks. We’ll still buy a snack or meal (who can resist some of those Magic Kingdom treats?) from time to time, but having water and something to eat in your bag can cut down on costs dramatically.
