Disney Destiny Ship Will Have Lots of Marvel Spaces and Theming

The Disney Destiny cruise ship will have the most Marvel theming of any Disney Cruise Line ship. Disney has announced that Marvel will be represented throughout the ship, including on the stern, in the Grand Hall, in a new lounge, and more.

Starting on the Destiny’s stern, Spider-Man and the Spider-Bots (who guests should recognize from the Web Slingers ride at Disney California Adventure), will be the first Marvel characters to appear in this location. The stern decoration has been normally reserved for classic Disney characters.

Heading back inside the ship, the Destiny’s Grand Hall will feature a statue of T’Challa of Wakanda. The Grand Hall’s design is supposed to mimic the color palette seen in the Black Panther films. Personally, we don’t think it gives off the vibes from the Black Panther movies, but that’s just our opinion.

Let’s talk lounges! We already know that lounges themed to the Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean theme park rides are coming to the Destiny. Now, we know that a lounge themed to The Sanctum, the home of Dr. Strange, is also coming to the Destiny.

Disney Cruise Line is also bringing established Marvel spaces seen on other ships to the Destiny. Both the Worlds of Marvel restaurant and the Marvel Super Hero Academy area in the kids club will be on the new ship.

The Disney Destiny will begin sailing itineraries out of Fort Lauderdale in November 2025.
