The maiden voyage of the Disney Adventure has been rescheduled. Instead of sailing on December 15, 2025, the maiden voyage will now sail on March 10, 2026. Disney cited unexpected delays during the shipbuilding process as the reason behind the change.
Below is a statement from Joe Schott, President of Disney Signature Experiences, explaining the delay.
As we work on the final touches to bring the Disney Adventure to our guests, weโve encountered unexpected delays in the shipbuilding process. To ensure the experience we deliver reflects our commitment to excellence, weโve made the decision to adjust our timeline. We know this may be disappointing to our guests, and weโre working directly with them to offer flexible rebooking options and uphold the trust they place in us.

Guests who were booked on the Disney Adventure’s maiden voyage in December will be automatically rebooked on the March 10 sailing at 50% off. Or, they can elect to receive a refund and 50% off a future cruise if they don’t want to take the rescheduled maiden voyage.
Disney Cruise Line is offering other guests booked for sailings leading up to March 10 a refund and 50% off a future cruise. Counting the maiden voyage, 25 total sailings are impacted by this change.
Unfortunately, these types of delays can happen. Changing the Global Dream, the original name for the unfinished ship before Disney bought it, into the Disney Adventure is an extensive process. This delay does not impact the maiden voyage for the Disney Destiny scheduled for November 20, 2025.
