Invited guests and media are getting their first glimpse inside the stunning Grand Hall aboard the Disney Destiny, the next ship in Disney Cruise Line’s growing fleet. The Disney Destiny’s Grand Hall celebrates Marvel’s Black Panther, and sets the tone for the heroes and villains theming found around the ship.
Let’s take a look at the Destiny’s atrium and the incredible Black Panther statue.

We love the use of color in the Destiny’s Grand Hall! The lighting is incredibly well done. The purples and golds really pop, especially in the Grand Hall’s iconic chandelier. All of Disney Cruise Line’s ships have beautiful chandeliers, and the Vibranium-inspired chandelier on the Destiny is no exception. It’s captivating!
Speaking of lighting, the Destiny’s atrium will usually have a “bright and optimistic energy” like what’s shown above. But, sometimes the Destiny will use its 360-degree lighting in the Grand Hall to give a more villainous vibe. Guests may see a menacing green display when Loki pays a visit.
It’s amazing how much the lighting can change the look and feel of the Destiny’s Grand Hall. Disney says the Grand Hall is “ever-changing” and will react to certain characters, so we expect to see even more color schemes used. Too cool!
This is one of those rare cases where we think the Destiny’s Grand Hall came out better than the concept art. Remember the original concept art below? We know it was released in the earlyish stages, but the decision to add more purple was brilliant.
We’re so glad the Disney Destiny’s Grand Hall didn’t turn out like the concept art above. For the record, that might be the first we’ve ever said that about Disney concept art! Reality often feels like a downgrade compared to the concept art, but the Disney Destiny broke that rule.
The Disney Destiny will sail four and five-night cruises from Fort Lauderdale to the Bahamas and the Western Caribbean beginning with its maiden voyage on November 20, 2025.
