Disney has announced when the limited-time run of Soarin’ Over California will end at EPCOT. The OG version of Soarin’ will wrap up on February 27, 2024 and the attraction will return to the Soarin’ Around the World version on February 28, 2024.
The change back to Soarin’ Around the World matches up with the beginning of EPCOT’s Flower and Garden Festival, which will run February 28 through May 27.
While many Disney fans prefer the Soarin’ Over California version of Soarin’ (we love the smell of those orange groves!), there’s no question the Around the World version fits better into the overall theme of EPCOT. That said, it would be nice to see an updated version of Soarin’ that improves on the many issues found in the Around the World film (like the warped Eiffel Tower).
Disney has not said if Soarin’ Over California will return to EPCOT in the future. But, it would make a lot of sense to bring it back once a year or even every other year to keep things feeling fresh.
