The feature pool at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn and Disney’s BoardWalk Villas will be closed for refurbishment in early 2027. The Luna Park Pool, which is the resort’s carnival-themed pool with the 200-foot waterslide, will be closed January 11, 2027 through April 2027. Disney says the closure is due to routine maintenance.
Below is the announcement from the resort’s page on the Disney World website.
From January 11, 2027, through April 2027, the Luna Park Pool, the Luna Park Crazy Play Area and Leaping Horse Libations at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn and Disney’s BoardWalk Villas will be closed for routine maintenance. Guests may see and hear work taking place during daytime hours. However, the Villas Pool and the Inn Pool will remain open for Guests to enjoy.
A Disney resort closing its signature pool is always noteworthy. This isn’t as tough to stomach as the long closures seen at Stormalong Bay at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club resorts, but it’s still disappointing for guests. The BoardWalk Inn’s other pools are significantly smaller. And, it’s tough when one of the best resort waterslides on Disney property is closed.
The temporary closure of Leaping Horse Libations is also a tough loss. As much as we love Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, the resort has possibly the worst quick service dining options of any Disney resort. Leaping Horse Libations helps round out that quick service gap, and was a popular option for guests staying in the Villas side of the resort.
Even though the refurbishments are a bummer, we’d still recommend the BoardWalk Inn as a spot to stay in Disney World. Its location is just that good. How can you beat being able to walk to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios?
