Jellyrolls Dueling Piano Bar is Closing at Disney’s BoardWalk

Unfortunately, the rumors about Jellyrolls closing up shop at Disney’s BoardWalk are true. The dueling piano bar announced on social media that they are moving from Disney’s BoardWalk later this spring.

No additional details were announced about the change.

A closing date and a new location will be announced in the near future. While we don’t know where they’re headed, we do know it won’t be on Disney World property if they do reopen.

While it’s nice to hear Jellyrolls is just moving and not closing permanently, this is a significant blow to Disney’s BoardWalk. The bar has been a staple of the location for almost 30 years, and it has been a reliable source of entertainment for guests and cast members alike. The talented musicians (and tasty drinks) made every visit a memorable one.

Disney’s Yacht Club, Beach Club, and Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin attract a lot of convention guests who would routinely flock to Jellyrolls. This is a big blow to that crowd too as the nearby Atlantic Dance Hall doesn’t have the same kind of draw and usually sits relatively empty.

We can assume Disney has something in mind for the space once Jellyrolls leaves, but we’re not confident whatever they have planned will live up to Jellyrolls’ high bar. Jellyrolls was one of very few locations at Disney World that stayed open late and was aimed directly at adults. Disney World’s nightlife is already lacking, and losing Jellyrolls is a big step back.

What would you like to see take over the Jellyrolls space?
