Disney has announced that the Country Bear Jamboree at Magic Kingdom will close January 27, 2024, before reopening this summer as the Country Bear Musical Jamboree. The updated show will feature the bears singing Disney songs in varying styles – bluegrass, pop-country, Americana, rockabilly, and more.
But, it was how Disney ended their announcement about the Country Bears that caught our eye. Are even more changes coming to Frontierland beyond the Country Bears update and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure?

But hold your horses, we’re not done yet. We have a lot of growth and investment planned for our theme parks in the coming years and look forward to sharing more announcements about Frontierland … so y’all come back now, ya hear?
Let the speculation begin!
One idea that has been widely rumored involves transforming Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe into a new restaurant. It’d be a logical change seeing as Pecos Bill’s sits between Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and the upcoming Country Bear Musical Jamboree. We actually quite like Pecos Bill’s, but if a transformation meant quality beignets … well, then you sign us right up.
Many Disney fans have wondered how Disney will incorporate Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and its bayou setting into Frontierland. The two themes don’t mix super well unless Disney makes some changes. It’s possible an expansion near Frontierland (there is a lot of space behind Big Thunder Mountain as Disney loves to remind) could help blend or separate some of the mixed theming.
What do you think Disney has in mind for Frontierland?
