A New Drone Show is Coming to Disney Springs

Updated:

Disney has announced that a new nighttime drone show is coming to Disney Springs in 2024. The show, which is titled Dreams That Soar, will debut on May 24, 2024 and run nightly through September 2.

Disney provided a brief synopsis about the new drone show.

This isn’t the first time a drone show has been held at Disney Springs. The Starbright Holidays drone show ran twice nightly during the holidays in 2016. At that time, 300 drones were used to create holiday imagery over the water at Disney Springs. It’s unclear how many will be used for this new show.

Drones have been rumored to be apart of a Walt Disney World nighttime show for the past several years. They were even speculated to be apart of Luminous at EPCOT, but that didn’t pan out. We’re not surprised to see them finally used again on Walt Disney World property, but it is a bit of an interesting choice to use them at Disney Springs. We would’ve guessed Disney would want to incorporate drones at a theme park to boost sagging attendance.

Disney’s recent history with drones includes the incredible Disney Electrical Sky Parade in Disneyland Paris. That show is phenomenal, and is hopefully the benchmark Disney is trying to hit with Dreams That Soar in Disney Springs.
